These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be submitted the jurisdiction of the English courts. Nationwide Worktops reserves the right to make changes to these Terms, notably in line with any revised legislation. Under no circumstances whatsoever shall Nationwide Worktops be liable for any loss arising out of or in connection with the use of information available from this Web Site whether direct or indirect including, without limitation, any liability relating to any loss of use, interruption of business, lost profits or lost data, or incidental, special or consequential damages of any kind regardless of the form of action, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, even if Nationwide Worktops has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Du Pont de Nemours International SA, CH-1218 Le Grand Saconnex, Switzerland (hereafter called 'DuPont') warrants hereby, subject to the time limitations described under point 3, the following: DuPont warrants to you, the owner of the original interior worktop or decorative Corian® solid surface installation, that DuPont will, at its discretion, replace or repair, your installation of DuPont Corian® installed and fabricated by a Corian® Quality Network installer/fabricator, if the product fails due to any product defect during the first ten (10) years from the date of completion of installation of Corian®. This warranty does not cover products made by other suppliers.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE TEN (10) YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
1. This warranty applies exclusively to interior decorative Corian®solid surface installations that are installed and fabricated by Corian®Quality Network Installers/Fabricators and in accordance with the installation procedure in force at the time of installation.
2.This warranty does not cover any damage(s) caused by:
A.Improper or inadequate residential or commercial use, care or maintenance
B. Any Corian®material modification or misuse, i.e. non-use of cutting boards, hot pads.
C. Installation and/or operation outside the materials interior environment specifications, i.e. outdoor use.
D. Physical, chemical or mechanical abuse.
E. Damage from exposure to excessive heat (e.g. direct heat) due to non-use of hot pads or damage due to heat transmission (e.g. hobs) resulting from non-compliance with the Corian® installation procedures
F. Improper installation site preparation or site maintenance.
G. Any other improper use of Corian® as stated in the Use and Care guidelines.
H. Acts of God.
3.The DuPont CORIAN®ten (10) year limited installed warranty coverage is ruled by the following set timing:
Year 1-3 included after installation, in case of DuPont's responsibility:
100% of material and labour (at cost) will be covered.
Year 4-6 included after installation, in case of DuPont's responsibility:
75% of material and 50% of labour (at cost) will be covered.
Year 7-9 included after installation, in case of DuPont's responsibility:
50% of material and 25% of labour (at cost) will be covered.
Year 10 after installation, in case of DuPont's responsibility:
25% of material and 0% of labour (at cost) will be covered.
4. To receive coverage under the DuPont Corian® 10 Year Limited Installed warranty, proof of purchase in the form of an invoice needs to be submitted with the claim (no proof - no coverage).
5. This limited warranty is transferable within the ten (10) year warranty period.
6. Any Corian® solid surface replacement or repair need to be first authorised in writing by DuPont or its duly appointed representative and is only to be executed by a duly authorised Corian®Quality Network Installer/Fabricator or Service Centre.
7.This Limited Warranty applies only for installations done:
A.After April 1, 1995 in Europe, the Middle-East and Africa; and
B. Installations which have not been moved from their original place of installation; and
C. Installations fabricated/installed by a DuPont Authorised Fabricator/Installer or a CORIAN®Service Centre; and
D. Installations which are maintained according to the use and care instructions in the CORIAN® Use and Care leaflet, handed over with the acceptance of this installation and attached to these warranty rules.
A free of charge Corian®Use and Care Instructions/Guidelines leaflet may be obtained from your local Corian®supplier or by writing to DuPont Corian®solid surfaces (for address please refer to paragraph 13).
8. If DuPont is unable to repair or replace, as applicable, a defective product which is covered by this CORIAN® warranty, DuPont shall, within a reasonable time after being notified of the defect, refund the purchase price of the CORIAN®material only, as per limitations in point 3, provided the customer hands over the Corian®material to DuPont or its appointed representative.
9. Limitations of warranty:
Neither DuPont nor any of its third party suppliers makes any other warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, with respect to CORIAN®solid surface. DuPont and its third party suppliers specifically disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose other than interior or decorative surface use.
10.Except as provided herein, DuPont shall not be liable in either tort or contract for any loss or direct, consequential or incidental damages arising out of the use or inability to use CORIAN® solid surfaces in interior or decorative surface application(s).
11. Some countries preclude the disclaimers and limitations in the warranty terms from limiting the statutory rights of a consumer, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
12.Limitations of liability:
Except for the obligations specifically set forth in this warranty statement, in no event shall DuPont CORIAN®be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, whether based on contract, tort, or any other legal theory and whether advised of the possibility of such damages.

14.Covering law and jurisdiction: This DuPont CORIAN®10 year Limited Warranty is governed by Swiss law. The courts of the canton of Geneva, Switzerland shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out or in connection with this limited warranty, including any question regarding its interpretation or its execution. DUPONT CORIAN instructions in the CORIAN® Use and Care leaflet, handed over with the acceptance of this installation and attached to these warranty rules. LG Hi-Macs Warranty
HI-MACS 10+5 YEAR* LIMITED INSTALLED WARRANTY TERMS
Congratulations and thank you for selecting HI-MACS Natural Acrylic Stone. HI-MACS is developed and manufactured by LG Chem, an affiliated company of the global company.General conditions
This limited installed warranty covers all HI-MACS products manufactured and/or marketed by LG Chem Europe, unless indicated differently in the HI-MACS documentation.The warranty also covers finished products when fabricated and installed by a member of the "HI-MACS Quality Club" in accordance with the application - fabrication - and installation guidelines published by LG Chem Europe for HI-MACS. LG Chem Europe expressly warrants to the original owner of a HI-MACS installation, that it will, at LG Chem Europe's own discretion, repair or replace HI-MACS, free of charge, if the product fails due to any manufacturing - fabrication - or installation defect during the first 10+5 years* after installation.
This warranty is extended to the original purchaser. The warranty registration card and number or a purchase receipt or other proof of date of original purchase from a member of the "HI-MACS Quality Club" will be required before warranty service is rendered. In case none of the above mentioned documents are available, the warranty will not be applicable.
HI-MACS repairs or replacements under this warranty must be executed by a member of the "HI-MACS Quality Club"
This warranty is applicable until superseded, only on installations:
* executed after September 1, 2003 in Europe
* executed by a member of the "HI-MACS Quality Club" installations which have not been moved from their original location
* installations that are properly maintained and used in accordance with the Use and Care guidelines.
LG Chem Europe's obligation together with the "HI-MACS Quality Club" members is limited solely to the repair or replacement of the products purchased, including reasonable and necessary labour charges when the claim is acceptable within the warranty terms. In case HI-MACS is not in a position to repair or replace, depending on the case, a defective product, HI-MACS commits to reimburse, within a reasonable time frame after the filing of the claim, the purchase price of the HI-MACS material, as long as the customer returns to LG Chem Europe or the assigned member of "HI-MACS Quality Club" the defective material.
Exemptions
This warranty will not apply to damage caused in the following cases:Improper fabrication and installation of your HI-MACS:
* fabrication and installation not carried out by a member of the "HI-MACS Quality Club"
* failure to follow procedures recommended in the application
* failure to follow fabrication - and installation guidelines for HI-MACS (6 mm sheets for vertical applications, 9 mm for horizontal applications without heat source and 12 mm sheets for horizontal application with heat source or more structural support)
* faulty or improper installation, including seams (HI-MACS adhesive must be used)
* a non authorized modification of the installation.
Failure to apply the HI-MACS Use and Care guidelines including:
* improper or inadequate general maintenance
* hard chemicals or physical aggression of the installation
* exposure to excessive heat due to direct heat (e.g. hot pots and pans put without protection on the surface without trivet with rubber legs or protective pad) or due to a bad thermal isolation (e.g. for cooking plates, bains-marie, etc.)
* pouring boiling liquids into HI-MACS shapes (e.g. LG DecoSink and LG DecoBowl) without running the cold tap at the same time.
* force majeure.
Colours and gloss finish of HI-MACS:
* Dark and heavily pigmented colours will show dust, dirt and ordinary wear and tear more readily than light colours and colours with a structured texture. Applications using inappropriate colours or gloss finishes for the intended end use (as mentioned in the colour brochure or in any other HI-MACS documentation) will not be covered under this warranty.
Making a claim
To obtain service under this warranty, please contact directly the original supplier from whom you purchased your HI-MACS Natural Acrylic Stone. A member of the "HI-MACS Quality Club" will evaluate your claim and when accepted will develop a practical and satisfactory solution. No other expressed or implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are made by this warranty except for those expressly provided herein. Under no circumstances shall LG Chem Europe be liable for any loss or damage arising from the purchase, use or inability to use this product, or for any special, indirect, incidental or consequential damages.This warranty entitles the purchaser to specific legal rights. Other rights may also be available, which may vary from country to country.
The present 10+5 year* limited installed warranty for HI-MACS from LG Chem Europe falls under the jurisdiction of Swiss law. Any dispute in relation to this 10+5 year limited installed warranty, its interpretation or its execution will fall under the exclusive competence of the courts of the canton of Geneva Switzerland.
* The 10 Year Guarantee is extended by a further 5 years when the installation is registered at www.himacs.eu
Standard payment terms
- 10% at Order
- 70% at Template - Any extra's requested at template stage or after will require payment in full the same day.
- 20% at Installation.
AMEX payment carries a 7% surcharge and full payment must be made at Template stage.
Colour Disclaimer
Any disclaimer colours will result in no warranty been offered and also no guarantee that joint lines, sanding marks, scratches and blemishes will not be seen.Cargo and Pewter will also be classed as disclaimer colours by Nationwide Worktops.
Upstand Disclaimer
Coved upstands may result in a gap left at the top of the upstand and the wall. A disclaimer must be signed wavering any right to complaint on this matter. Square upstands will always show a seam line as they are 2 separate pieces.Corian Worktops, Great Prices
